Highchair Training

Eli had a third first yesterday. We put his highchair together and started showing him how to sit in it and get used to spending time in it. He wasn't so sure he liked it but today he did better in it.

Elijah's First Hike

I took Elijah on his first hike this morning and gave Dana a chance to sleep in. Not only was it his first nap, it was his first snow too. The early snowfall has made everything white and beautiful. He seemed to enjoy himself on the East Glacier Trail although I doubt he will remember any of it.... he slept most of the way.

Tonight, before church, Elijah took a little nap while waiting for mom and dad to go. Usually Eli puts up a big fuss when he is locked into the carrier, but not tonight. We had a good night rejoining our friends and family for Wednesday night Bible study.

For the past week, Elijah has been in the verge of his first laugh. Each day, mommy and daddy eagerly work to coax him into giggling. He has come so close but has yet to show off the gaffa. Tonight the thing gave him the most joy was to imitate his daddy in a little humming exercise.
